1. Last chance to become a tutor!

Tamko is looking for enthusiastic students who find interest in guiding new students of TAMK. Tamko is training degree and international tutors. You can choose any tutoring form you like, or you can choose all of them! In addition to this great experience, you will also get study credits from tutoring.

Enroll for Degree Tutoring (NB! Enrolment ends on Thursday, November 15)

Tamko is seeking for new degree tutors to guide students starting in TAMK at autumn 2019! As a degree tutor you'll meet new people and get amazing memories! Degree tutoring is only for students who study in degree programs and don't speak Finnish as their native language. Degree tutors work together with their Finnish peer tutors colleagues. 

Trainings will be organized in the spring 2019.

2. Portti työelämään - recruiting event at TAMK 22 - 24 January 2019

Portti työelämään (Gateway to work life) is a recruiting event for TAMK students. In the event, local and national organizations come to TAMK to meet their future talents. 

The organizations are offering different kinds of work, internship and thesis opportunities plus a chance to communicate with them face-to-face. 

The event will take place on three days: 22 January – 24 January 2019 at 10am – 2pm. The first day is for technology branches, second for information technology, programming, business and marketing. The final day is for social and health, restaurant and travelling, art & media, communication and music branches. You can find all the participating organizations from event's website.

The event is organized by Students’ Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Tamko) in cooperation with TAMK’s recruiting services, Student Associations and clubs. 

3. CLINT's birthday sits 22 November

It’s time to raise your glass and sing as loud as you can because... We have the greatest pleasure to inform you, that CLINT is turning 15 this month! To celebrate these wonderful years, we would like to invite you to our very own International sitsit. The event will be on 22nd of November at 18:30 at Teiskontie 8 A.

For those who don't know what sitsit is, here is the history in short: Sitsit is a dinner party, where you can eat, sing and make toasts. The origin of sitsit is unclear, but student organizations have arranged sitsit since...well ancient times!

Tickets:15€ for Tamko members and 20€ for non-members of Tamko. The price includes a warm meal, 2 dinner drinks and an evening with some amazing people! If you feel like the provided menu is not enough, you may bring your own snacks and drinks as well. The spots are limited so make sure you don't miss this. All you have to do is pay at Solu. 

4. TAMK's catering studio presents: Double Dutch evening 15 November 

Halloween is over and it's time for another Bar Studio! This time our exchange students from Belgium and the Netherlands are arranging Double Dutch Experience Bar Studio on 15th November at 5PM-9PM.

Before Bar Studio you have a chance to participate in Belgian beer tasting for only 15€ per person (from 4PM to 5PM). The tasting includes 5 beers to taste and snacks. The tasting is only available by pre-booking by sending and email to katri.s.pajukoski(at) Please do the pre-booking by 13 November.

5. A Christmas gift to Tartu's Children's safe home 

Give a Christmas gift to one of the children or mothers in Tartu Children's Safe Home in Estonia! SOPU (registered association of Bachelor of Social Services Students) is collecting Christmas gifts for children and mothers in Children's Safe Home in Tartu Estonia. A group of Bachelor of Social Services students will travel to Tartu to participate in a Christmas party at the Children's Safe Home and will deliver the gifts. Gifts should be new and unused. The children are aged 0-18 years and there are also mothers living in the Safe Home. 

SOPU will collect the donations at SOPU's coffee hour in the H0 aisle on 13th November, 20th November, and 4th December (12-13) as well as on student association day 28th November. Wrapping materials will be provided by SOPU. When wrapping the gift you can include a note with depictions of the gift, and for what age it is suitable for. Let's spread the Christmas spirit together! 

6. Ohjaamo - one door, many services

No need to run from one door to another - just step into Ohjaamo. You'll find information, guidance and help for job search, education, housing, money issues, etc. - all in one place. So if you don't know where to start, start here! You may walk in, call, send SMS or chat. Let's figure out together the next step in your life! 

Ohjaamo is open Monday - Thursday at 1pm - 4pm. You'll find us from Hammareninkatu 5 B, 2nd floor (Tullinkulma). You can also call, p. 0401975144 (also WhatsApp). 

Ohjaamo is for those under 30 and they're part of the Youth Guarantee (nuorisotakuu). Ohjaamo is located in over 50 locations in Finland. 


7. Survey About Nyyti Ry’s Veb Activities - Win a Gift Card to

We want to get feedback and suggestions for the future regarding Nyyti’s web activities, website, and online content. Your opinion is very important to us, and it will help us develop our operations so that we can provide even better service in the future. It only takes 5 – 10 minutes to fill out the survey.

The survey is meant both for students (secondary level and higher learning) and the professionals who work with them. The results shall be analyzed in confidence and anonymously so that none of the participants can be identified based on the answers.
