1. Overall Patches' Sewing Evening 24.1.

Did you miss the last sewing evening and your patches are piling up? Don't worry because the first overall patches' sewing evening in 2018 is here! At Solu you can sew your patches and buy new ones if you don't have enough yet (card payment only). It’s probably best if you bring your own supplies, but Tamko also has some for backup. Welcome to sew on 24th of January at 17.00 - 22.00!

Ps. Remember to bring all your classmates and make sure you have your Tursaspassi with you. Please notice that this event is non-alcoholic!

3. Tolu's weekly sport shift

We will play volleyball in our weekly sport shift on Tuesday 23.1. from 5pm to 7pm at TAMK Sports Arena.  Everybody can join our sport shift even if you haven't bought Unipoli Sport membership. Unipoli Sport is a partner of our sport shift.

4. 1980's themed Bar Studio 25.1.

This time 80's theme arrives to Bar Studio! At the evening we are going to have a quiz about 80's and serve drinks that were popular here in Finland around that time. Evening menu will be normal Bar Studio menu. Welcome to try our quiz and enjoy the evening with some good old 80's music! Bar Studio is situated at TAMK's catering studio. Doors are open from 4 pm till 9 pm. The entrance to the Bar Studio is on the left side of Kuntokatu 3 main doors (G wing).

5. Tolu and PIRATE goes SAPPEE 

Tamko's sport club Tolu and health sector students' association PIRATE are organizing together a trip to Sappee's ski resort for all TAMK students on 2.2.2018 at 15.00 - 20.00. Program includes downhill skiing (if you like) and minty hot chocolate. Departure is from campus at Kuntokatu 3's main entrance (G wing) at 15.00. The bus back to TAMK leaves from Sappee at 20.00. 

Prices: Bus trip 10€ / bus + ski lift ticket 28€ / bus + ski lift ticket + ski or snowboard rental 45€ (+ 5€ helmet rental, fitting at Sappee ski resort). The tickets are for sale at Solu and Tolu's online store Holvi. 

NB! There are only 50 spots for this trip so please be quick!

6. Konekerho's Springbreak

Losing your will to study? Are you drowning in projects and essays? Come and join Konekerho on our quest to find our missing studying motivation on a 22 hour long cruise from Helsinki to Tallinn on 25.3-26.3. For a low a price of 25€ (20€ for members of Konekerho), you’ll get a bus ride to Helsinki and back and a cruise ticket with a chance to spend four hours in Tallinn. Get a first-hand experience of the famous Finnish booze tourism, wander through the old town of Tallinn or go shopping! Tickets can be bought from Solu and from our stand.

7. Inssikyykkä 2018

Is your kyykkä tooth aching? Can`t wait for Kyykkä's world championship games? Have no fear, Inssikyykkä is here!

TIRO ry and engineering guilds of TAMK are offering you a chance to improve your skills for Kyykkä's world championship. Once again we'll be offering you a chance for glory, fame and prizes a small engineering student could only dream of. The prizes for the three top teams include three team positions to Inssibeerpong and the winning team wins a team position to Kyykkä's world championship games. But have no worries, if you don’t manage to get to the top three: all participants will receive an overall patch and there'll be free sausages and juice for the hungry ones.

So collect a team of four, march to Solu and sign up for the event and arrive on Saturday 27th of January at 11.00 to Solu's parking space. 

Ticket prices: 5 € / person, 20 € / team. Official after party is stand up afterparty at 21.30 at Student House (Ylioppilastalo). Tickets with team place 3€, others in advance 5€ and from the door 7€.

8. Stand up afterparty 27.1.

Students are always used to entertain themselves only on weekdays, but this time TIRO and engineering clubs of TAMK have decided to celebrate the beginning of the year by organizing some entertainment on this cold and dark January Saturday night. 

So, come to Tampere’s historical Student House (Ylioppilastalo) on 27.1., where the doors open at 8.30 p.m. Stand-up comedian Arimo Mustonen (Finnish stand up) takes the stage at 9 o'clock. After the stand-up show the DJ steps on stage and rules the stage all the way till 4 a.m. This time however, the DJ is going to play more than just your generic club music. Liquid refreshments are also provided in student friendly prices.

The ticket price is quite cheap: 5 € (prepaid ticket), 7 € (at the doors). You can buy the tickets from or at Solu’s desk!
