WINTER SPORTS WEEK, FEBRUARY 23rd - 26th

To solemnize the upcoming winter vacation Students' Union Tamko organizes a Winter sports week from 23rd until 26th of February. The programme includes for example sledging, winter parkour, presentation of sports services and an amazing downhill skiing / snowboarding trip to to Himos ski resort! Tamkotuki restaurants provide healthy snacks to keep you going.

Tue 23rd Sledging in Lamminpää 3pm

Enjoy the sledging of a life time in old ski slopes in Lamminpää, "Horha"! Bring along your slege, bobsleigh or plastic bags. On the spot you can also enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and sausages, so bring along a litte cash too. Te easiest way to get to the slopes, is to take the bus number 18 (TAMK Kuntokatu, Centre, Lamminpää). Check the location.

Wed 24th Winter parkour at Kuntokatu campus 4pm

Switch on your jumping gear and find a creative way to move around the snowy Kuntokatu campus! The meeting point for the parkour workshop is at the Kuntokatu 3 main doors, which are situated on the Teiskontie side. The size of the group is limited to 15, so sign up quickly at Tamko office or by e-mail at office(at)tamko(piste)fi to assure your participation. You can also ask for free places on the spot. The price of the parkour workshop is 2 €. Please bring cash to the leader.

Thu 25th BEST SnowFootball Tournament 12pm

The legendary SnowFootball tournament invites the students of TAMK to have fun and kick some ball in the front of Tietotalo in Hervanta on Thursday noon. Gather a team of at least four people and sign up to lauri(piste)juhola(at)tut(piste)fi by 21st of February. Remeber to tell you name and phone number as well as the names of the other players and your team. After party and prize-giving takes place at the sauna of Konetalo after the games. Attendance fee is 5 € / team.

Fri 26th Himoski - bus and ski pass 30 €

The students of TAMK, TUT and UTA head to Himos ski resort on Friday 26th. Besides downhill skiing and snowboarding there's a wild high jinks, which is organized by Tamko among other students' unions and associations. The bus trips and a ski pass for the whole day cost 30 €, ski rent is 15 € and snowboard rent is 22 €. The departure from TAMK Kuntokatu takes place at 9am and from Himos at 5pm. Only 50 quickest get seats in the bus, so sign up swiftly at Tamko office or by e-mail at office(at)tamko(piste)fi. As you sign up, please tell you name and phone number, but also your height, weight and shoe size, if you're renting skis or a snowboard.
