International affairs

The central areas of international activities in the Students' Union Tamko are international tutoring and taking the international aspects into account in promoting students' interests. Students' Union also works to help foreign students feel at home and to advance domestic internationalisation of Finnish students. Tamko aims at serving and informing foreign students in English.

Tamko trains international tutors, who do their best to help foreign exchange students feel at home in Finland and enjoy their time in TAMK and Tampere. International tutoring is an excellent way to improve one's language proficiency and to meet new friends around the globe. International tutor is often the first connection exchange student has with Finnish students.

Club International Tampere (CLINT) is a club within the Students' Union which organizes a variety of events, trips and other activities to foreign and internationally-minded Finnish students. CLINT also rents Survival Kits to exchange students in co-operation with Tamko. Survival Kits include basic facilies such as kitchen utensils and bed linen for the exchange period.
