Do you have what it takes to survive?

Club International Tampere (CLINT) takes a group of foreign and internationally minded Finnish students into a cottage trip in the end of March. The Survival Weekend starts on Friday the 26th and ends on Sunday the 28th of March. The grand idea is to survive in a forest without some modern comforts like electricity, running water and indoor toilet. Opening hours of Tamko office during winter holiday

The office of Tamko is open on week 9:
Monday 9am - 4pm
Tuesday - Friday 10am - 12pm

The sports hall in the L-building is closed during week 9 because of reparation work. After the winter holiday Tamko office is open as normally from Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm.

Excursion to St Petersburg 8.-11.4.2010

Tamko's international club CLINT organises the classic bus trip to St Petersburg in cooperation with travel agency Aikamatkat (Timetravels) in April. The trip is lead by professional tour leaders and the accommodation is in the city center in a four-star hotel! Most famous sights, such as State Hermitage Museum, Catherine's palace and Peter & Paul fortress are included in the price (175 € for members of Tamko)!

Winter sports week in TAMK February 23rd - 26th

To solemnize the upcoming winter vacation Students' Union Tamko organizes a Winter sports week from 23rd until 26th of February. The programme includes for example sledging, winter parkour, presentation of sports services and an amazing downhill skiing / snowboarding trip to to Himos ski resort! Lemmenlautta (Loveboat) cruise gathers students from universities of applied sciences around Finland on a cruise on the 18th - 19th of March. This year's theme is 'Welcome to the castle'! The programme includes bands, stand up show, poolparties, karaoke and lots more! Members of The Students' Union Tamko get a 5 € discount of the cruise tickets. Tamko is also organising a return trip from Tampere to Turku harbour at a fair student price! Read more!

International City Tour this Saturday

International City Tour takes place this Saturday, the 6th of February. The City Tour is a good chance to meet new people and to have fun. Sign up at the office of Tamko or email office(at)tamko(piste)fi telling your name, nationality, campus and possible food allergies. The Tour starts at keskustori 11.45am and after party takes place at Love Hotel 8pm - 11pm. Facebook event!

Update you student card

Does your student card have a glittery "Syksy 2009" sticker? If it does, your student card and students' union membership is ending 31st of January. If your studies continue, you can update your card and membership for only 13 euros! The stickers for the whole academic year 2009 - 2010 and for the spring 2010 are valid until the 30th of September 2010. Check out the member benefits and renew your membership at Tamko office! PISTOT starts with opening disco on January 28th!

Time to start practicing dance moves and training biceps (by lifting a pint) for summer! PISTOT takes place at Love Hotel night club on Thursday 28.1. You'll find the tickets from Tamko office (Solu) and 25th - 28th of January at a stand in front of the personnel restaurant at TAMK (Kuntokatu 3) from 10am to 2pm. The tickets cost 3 € in advance and 4 € at the door.

International cruise to Stockholm 24th of January

Club International Tampere - CLINT is organizing a boat trip to Stockholm from the 24th until the 26th of January. The cruise costs 55 € for members of The Students' Union Tamko and 60 € for others. The price includes bus trips Tampere - Helsinki - Tampere and the cruise to Stockholm. Gather a group of four students who will share a cabin. Then book your trip for the whole group at Tamko office or e-mail office(at)tamko(piste)fi. Please give the names, nationalities, dates of birth and e-mail addresses of all the four people as you sign up.
