International tutor training is coming again! Do you want new friends from all around the world? How about to help incoming exchange students? Or would you like to improve your English skills? ... if the answer was yes, then this is your chance!
International tutoring also adds up your ECTS credits. The training will be on Tuesday 20th and Thursday 22nd of March at Kuntokatu campus in Tampere.

Finnish parliament has accepted nation's estimated economic proposal for the year 2012. University students' meal subsidy will be raised from the beginning of the year by 0,07 euros from current 1,77 euros to 1,84 euros per meal. Therefore price of the meal should be brought down by 0,07 euros starting on 1.1.2012.

Tamko selected its new board and council chairmen for the year 2012 on Thursday 1.12.2011.
Next year the council gavel will be handeled by Katriina Repo. Emmi Kunnila was chosen to be the vice chairperson.

Due to the large number of graduates in the autumn term, Tampere University of Applied Sciences will organise two subsequent graduation ceremonies at the main campus (main auditorium D1-04, Kuntokatu 3, Tampere) on Wednesday 21 December 2011.
The first graduation ceremony begins at 11.00. It is for students graduated/graduating on 30 June 2011 - 21 December 2011 in the following degree programmes:

Tamko gained a new staff member in November: expert in tutoring, Antti Filpus.
Filpus is a substitute for Satu Hiltunen during her nursing leave at least until autumn 2012.
Previously Hiltunen's substitute during her maternity leave was Hannastiina Ruismäki who now is on maternity leave herself as well.
